  1. I’m going to assume that this is an ironic ‘not bad’ which actually means ‘the finest example of a peated whisky to be found by mere mortals’!
    As always, spectacular photography!

    1. To be honest, I am not that impressed by the Uigeadail. It’s good, but not amazing. So it ends up somewhere in the “not bad” range.

Photo is just a product photo I’ve stolen from Ardbeg’s website, to be honest as well – no need to be impressed. 🙂

      1. My impressedness is then taken back. However, I’ll admit to loving the whisky. I think it’s a beautifully peated whisky with the added complexity of the sherry barrels creating something extra special. Do you prefer any other Ardbeg expressions?

      2. I do like the Uigeadail, but the Corryvreckan is where it’s at for me. The Supernova is even better, had (and reviewed) the 2010, loving a challenging, über peated whisky. On Dec 27, 2015 11:09, “The Finnish Whisky Blog” wrote:

  2. Fair enough. I have found some people tend towards either the Coryy or the Oogie. I guess I’m just in the latter category. And I seem to remember expressing my jealousy about your supernova sampling! Still am by the way!

    1. I actually had the Perpetuum the other day as well. A new two-word review coming on that one soon.

The Supernova seems to be everywhere in decent Asian whisky bars. I had the 2010 in Seoul, but I’ve seen it at a few places in Taipei, where I live, as well.
